About Me

Hi Y’all,

In 2002, I had roux-en-y bariatric surgery at 16. My surgery was a success and I’ve been blessed thus far to not have any major complications.

I was fat before my surgery and I’m fat now. Unashamed of who I was and who I am today, I’m an advocate of self-care, mental health as part of whole health, and body positivity.

I’m a thirty-something engineer with the social skills to match. Nerdy, awkward, a little sarcastic, who tries her best to make this world better a little bit at a time.

I’ve live in the San Francisco Bay area. After a decade, I’m planning my Calexit to my home region of Georgia-Carolina. Raised in Augusta but my whole family is from North Carolina.
So excited to be heading back to the South!

When I’m not working, I’m usually studying something. Currently that includes mandarin and brushing up on my calculus and Japanese.
Some of my favorite things include building science, baking, crafting, Sailor moon, dance, disco music, and creme brulee.
